Man how much are you eating??
Before I was diagnosed with lyme disease and prior to using abx for treating it....I would juice 12 cloves of garlic and drink that with carrot juice. It was nasty and made me sick. I never herxed.
A deeper research on garlic......Buhner never included in his book titled "Herbal Antibiotics"....he gave different explanations for this, aside that garlic is not really a herb as Traveler and I once discussed.
Allicin, the compound in garlic that has the antibiotic properties, in one study they seems to be less effective once the compound is filtered by our liver and kidneys. I will link it when I find it....
that is one study of the 1000 on garlic.....
Also I know that most properties of garlic are completely neutralized with heat, aka cooking......
I am not sure I agree with all the research that puts downs garlic properties, because the way that particular study was conducted. It focused on one compound of garlic.
...but I also doubt of garlic magic properties.
Some people are allergic to garlic and onions. Is it possible that you have develop a sensitivity to a compound of garlic???
I think if garlic causes you herx....to make sure is garlic doing this, you would have to eat garlic only for a certain period of time. If it is true....well I think you should try juiced garlic too...and garlic isolate, allicin and make it part of your protocol.
a recent summary study on garlic properties.
/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4103721/This is a study done on horses consuming garlic.....very interesting.....read how much garlic were feeding the horses......
