Is Lithium Orotate a Rx or OTC? Is it addictive?
Not addictive. Its just a supplement mineral like magnesium. Just not to poplular, prob cause the name freaks out people. Some health stores even stock it.
Walmart 5 htp even does something. 5 htp is half "happy pill" and half "calmer". Holy basil, for those with peaks of cortisol is like, .....dude...I'm r e a l calm now...........with out the "happy effect". Its not a downer though, thats for sure.
Holy basil lowers blood sugar a little too. So if your hypo-glucose might not be good. I was not- so OK, I needed it a little lower.
Ashwagonda is opposite of holy basil, it adrenal energy making, very popular, I tried in the afternoon for energy, but was too much.
Important : CALM/magnesium is great, but its a thyroid med "sponge". You WILL go hypo if taking and mag near thyroid med, this is a big bummer for thyroidians. I take mag glycinate at night - could not use in AM with thyroid med.

NOTE:
Messed up adrenals are related to glucose issues too. Dr Lam the adrenal guru mentions this. The more level my adrenal energy becomes, the more healthy (lower for me) my A1c has been. I was headed toward diabetic, have not been the last two years now.
The endo said , "wow great you improved your diet and exercise, A1c is good again!". (I DID NOT!).
I told him that stuff remained the same, that I've been addressing adrenals and stress NATURALLY and its helping my blood sugar. I bought a glucose meter so knew this was improving before the lab visit. Walmart has A1c test mail kits 2 for $25 too.
