I have several areas where my collagen is lacking.
At this point I haven't tried supplementing anything except higher doses of vitamin C.
Have you been taking an collagen (Great Lakes Collagen is one source)?
I don't know much more about it.
The backs of my hands and tops of my feet have lost collagen, and also my face.
I do take great lakes collagen. Now I must admit I stop taking it for 4 months. And indeed I lost more collagen through out my body. So I'm back on it. I know it will take several weeks to see the benefits.
But when I was taking it regularly I can't remember if it helped the eyes (I wasn't paying attention to it). But I kind of think it did help, because I didn't notice before. I only really noticed it again after I stopped.
It just sucks, like everything with lyme, because people have told me I looked tired and have made comments about
it. It's just a huge self-esteem bummer.
I've always been very discipline when it came to lyme treatment and it has paid off for the most part. But this particular symptom is a mystery I can't solve.
