Is it okay to take things like Claritin if you have Lyme? I've got horrible allergies and always have.

Benadryl is an option in our detox list and it is an antihistamine. I think it should be fine on a temporary basis for allergies.

My LLMD prescribed Ketotifen ( an antihistamine made by a compounding pharmacy) and Zrytec for my severe insomnia, It worked great for 6 months and then it didn't. I think the theory is that those with lyme have elevated histamines.
