Sissy, you are going through withdrawals right now. I don't think adding in anything is a good idea because your body is working so hard to withdraw from the xanax.
If you read up on xanax withdrawal, you will find that there is no easy fix to this withdrawal process. It can only be taken care of with time.
The withdrawals are messing with every system in your body. Your thyroid, adrenals and hormones are going wonky because they are missing that drug xanax.
Hang in there and maybe join a support group for xanax withdrawal. There are many folks out there going through this. And, many who give up and just keep taking the drug.
I know you can do this. Hang in there and prayers coming from my home.
Thanks for the prayers. I have so many things that can be causing the anxiety...the original lyme and co-infections, underactive thyroid, hormone imbalances, Xanax withdrawal, yeast. Yea, this isn't much fun, but I am trying to stay strong and go on with life.
I have looked on the benzo support groups....no think you. They only make me more anxious with their horror stories. I have managed to go from 2.5 mg to .675 on my own, so I will just keep slowly plugging away. I may have made the last cut a little too early. I think i will hold for a bit now.
I see my doctor on Thursday and I assume there are changes coming and we all know that can upset the apple cart pretty quickly.
By far my worse symptom is anxiety! It is much, much better than it use to be, but still hangs around. Maybe it isn't anxiety and just the lyme. My nervous system just feels like it is bouncing around.
