Herx from Nystatin?

Are you on abx? You need to take it about 2 hours away from anything else, with a large glass of water's worth of rinsing out.

What's your detox schedule like?

I did on diflucan (nystatins big brother - stronger)-.

I've taken both Nystatin and Diflucan at same time as ABX many, many times.

It's just Magnesium and other similar agents that may bind with ABX to make them less effective, and of course probiotics that get killed by ABX, that should be taken as far away from ABX as possible.

Before I started on abx, my doctor wanted to tackle my candida problem. I worked up to 4 nystation and 1 dflicuan a day. I was not expecting to herx at all, but it smacked me up against the head. I did the lyme diet and detoxed but still felt horrible for the month I had to take them. I also used probiotics.

I used Mrs. Braggs apple cider vinegar too. I was miserable but too new to know that I should have cut back.

YES! Particularly if your overgrowth has gone untreated for a long time or you have a significant systemic problem. Y/F also react to heat so you can overheat simply by being out on a hot day too long, with exercise, a shower or bath that is too warm, sauna, hot tub, etc. Generating heat within the body is a good way to induce die off but too much of it at once can overwhelm your body’s ability to detox the dead yeast and the mycotoxins it produces while its alive that have built up in the body and what it produces during die off.

- Since the Y/FO and the die off from treatment and detoxing can produce many similar symptoms to the lyme & co infections and treatment, this is one of several reasons it is important to nip the Y/FO in the bud before starting intense lyme & co treatment—your immune system will be less burdened to be able to support the lyme & co treatment and you won’t have as many overlapping symptoms to try to wade through."

As someone else mentioned the molybdenum will help. It moves the ammonia out. Incidentally, Dr. Jernigan also recommends molybdenum for Lyme toxins as well.
