Do i have lyme? Need help with results!

I've had a bunch of symptoms for a couple of years now and they're only getting worse as of late. I've had blood work done by MDL and the only results that came back equivocal/positive(?) was the Lyme WB with bands 41 and 23 present on Igg only. From what I can see, all other tests came back negative.
Although the CDC requires 5/10 bands does this mean I have/had Lyme disease? Should I seek treatment?

Have you looked for an LLMD to treat you or are you currently being treating by a different physician?

If you never got treatment when you began having symptoms it could be that you will need more than the CDC recommended 30 days of antibiotic, although you can choose another route to heal using herbal protocol or other methods that you will find talked about here. This is the best forum for information sharing and support.

Hi Julymorning, thank you for your response! I'm currently seeing an Integrative Doctor and she wants me to try some Byron White A-L complex first. I'm not familiar with Lyme so I was hoping to get some more insight before I try these herbal drops and antibiotics (eventually) if needed.

Our introduction I mentioned as many of the most common co-infections with their symptoms listed. Go over them, you might want to check them down for yourself, you will probably find many symptoms you never thought to attribute to the Lyme. There will also be cross overs between them, but also some things specific to their 'cause'.

ETA, I know that Byron White has followers here. If she hasn't talked to you about the Herxhiemer
reaction (herxing) you can get info about what that is here too, and how to work with your body to minimize those, as they can be even more debilitating than the Lyme and/or co-infections.

nyrown-It sounds like your integretive medicene doctor is planning on treating you for Lyme since you were positive for lyme specific band.

From what I can tell from a quick google search MDL is a standard lab vs a lab that specilizes in Lyme testing. Having a Lyme test done from a lab like Igenex can make a big difference as most if not all standard labs do not put the proper stuff (sorry for the lack of technical terminology) in the petri dish. The reason I'm suggesting this is that a CDC positive test will make life easier with your insurance company. Not great, but easier.

Byron White products can be potent so start of slow. Your doctor may tell you to start with a dropper full. I'd recommend starting with a drop twice a day. If you handle that ok for a few days move up to 2 drops twice a day and so on.

jrpsf - I believe MDL is more a lab that concentrates on Lyme. Although it's not Igenex, I believe it's better than the more conventional labs - I could be wrong though.

I need to clarify with my Dr., but if I understand her instructions, I think she wants to me start with 1 drop at a time, twice a day and increase one drop every day until I get to 5/day.

Is this the usual treatment for Byron White herbal drops?
