Huddie, I have not read all the post since mine. I just don't have the time.
But, I do want to mention to you that Killing Spirochetes is not the goal initially. Everyone thinks of lyme as a regular bug and it is not.
Helping all of your systems to get in line is the most important beginning you can do. Eating well, good sleep, little stress.
Then you begin to build up your systems. For me, I had to help my cardiovascular system. Whatever is your huge problem is where Buhner says to begin. Start there and do herbs for that.
Don't look for the Babs, Bart, Myco, etc. Take your worst symptom and start there. Then go for Buhner's systems enhancements.
Protecting endothelial structures
Cytokine remodulation
Immune remodulation
This is how you strengthen your body. Then you go for the KILL!!! You have to get the systems strong enough to go for the KILL with the anti herbs or drugs.
Just my opinion and what worked for me. I basically did Buhner's protocol as he wrote it. Doing it step by step.
With the exception of the killing, the steps PeteZa outlined are what make the difference between those of us with active infections and those of us with asymptomatic infections.
The asymptomatic people have bodies that can keep the bugs in check.
The symptomatic people need to accomplish the same.
Your symptoms are an indication of the areas of your body that are affected by the bugs. Working towards undoing the effects of the bugs is paramount.
The bugs mess with the lining of our blood vessels (endothelial structures). Well, most of our body requires blood flow.
The bugs cause major inflammation which is the cause of our symptoms. Inflammation is caused by cytokines and that's why we need to remodulate the cytokines our bodies are producing.
And, the bugs disrupt our immune function rendering it less able to fight infections. That's why we need to do things to remodulate the immune system.
We need to make our bodies inhospitable to the bugs.
If you think about
it, a body that doesn't support bug life is one that won't be suffering from symptoms related to those bugs.
Killing is truly the final step.
