Oh also started Pekana and Red root up again since my lymph nodes are swelling again after switching to rifabutin/minocycline.
For whatever it's worth, I continued with all my detoxing methods even after my lymph nodes returned to normal. I figured a clear lymph system would help me handle treatment better since the dead bug debris could move through my body more quickly.
It wasn't until I was no longer herxing that I dialed back on the number of detoxing methods I use. I've been working on my last 1% of healing for awhile now and I am still doing all that's on the list I shared in that March 2016 thread.
The Buhner herbalist I consulted confirmed what I've learned through research and what we say on here: it's the inflammation ala toxins (including dead bug parts) that drive our symptoms.
Think about
the fact that there are people walking around with asymptomatic infections. Their immune system is keeping things in check. Well, that means their immune system is killing bugs. We all know killing bugs creates toxins.
These asymptomatic infected people are able to clear the toxins of the dead bug parts
Dealing with symptoms means we are overloaded with dead bug parts. Those toxins can get reabsorbed and exacerbate things.
If someone is backed up with dead bug debris, it's going to take a lot more detoxing....for a longer period of time to minimize symptoms - especially if there is ongoing killing.
Yes, symptom relief can be expected when bug load goes down but it can happen sooner and to a greater degree if the dead bug debris gets moved out more quickly.
