Do you divide your dose of T3? I take mine at 8AM and 2PM and know people who dose 3x daily. This can help make the T3 dose more tolerable.
I'm not crazy about slow-release T3 because it's made by a compounding pharmacist. If you think about it, thyroid hormone is taken in microgram-sized doses.....that's 1000x smaller than a milligram. A small error on the part of the pharmacist can have huge implications.
I think the best way to accomplish a slow-release preparation would be to take desiccated thyroid. By nature of the product, desiccated thyroid contains thyroglobulin - the thyroid hormone transport protein.
I'm waiting for the day that I will need less thyroid hormone. I came into the Lymemess in July 2014 taking alternating doses of 125/137mcg T4 and 10mcg T3. I am now taking alternating doses of 150/175mcg T4 and 25mcg T3.
My thyroid doctor blames the disease process as well as some of the supplements I take (Magnesium, ALA, etc.) It's entirely possible that dosing herbs 4x daily is interfering as well.
Whatchagonnado? ;)
