Huddie,
We purchased the Richway "Professional" amethyst biomat in 2010 for about
$1400.00. They sell through distributors. As krimpet has mentioned, they cost a bit more today.
We felt that the biomat lived up to the claims made of it. I believe that it promoted overall healing and detoxification for Heather. It is important to realize that it is only one of many tools that would constitute an effective healing therapy. A biomat does not provide the entire solution to your problem.
We never turned the intensity setting beyond the mid range. I suppose that a higher setting would indeed induce herxing. The intensity setting and the length of treatment time depends entirely on the sensitivity of the individual. As has been stated, start low!
