Juymorning,
Is it bad that I laughed a little - in a good way.
I don't know what would be worse; being accused of having syphillis, or having lyme and no internet? I'm going with the latter.
Glad you found a better doctor. Not surprised since so many don't know much about lyme NOW.
Laughing is much a much better reaction than I had after reading the link. I wanted to kick him and scream a little.
Either way my gp recognized I had some kind of infection because of my high fevers at the time. He wasn't one to pull blood for full cbc's because everything had to be mailed off back then and I don't recall him doing that for anything other than respiratory infections.
I don't remember what abx I was given, but I can assure you back then it was only 10 days worth.
I read through the back and forth discussions about
sexual transmission. I wanted to interrupt them and say, but wait, what about
all the people like me that get infected on a property they have since moved from before the current relationship, and another - not everyone in an intimate relationship visits both of each other's properties!
One of them was assuming that a partner could just as easily become infected in the same place the infected partner had, rather than through fluids.
We would surely love to believe it can't be transmitted like the HIV spirochete, but too many here have experienced otherwise.
