Bartonella Symptoms??

Many noted LLMD's say that Bartonella is so common that Lyme should be considered the coinfection. I know that 70% of infected ticks in NJ test positive for Bart.

You've been asking the mods for herbal advice. Herbal protocols approach the infections differently than abx which are focused on killing.

Remember: herbal protocols fortify the body to make it inhospitable to the bugs and killing is the last item on the agenda.

Many of the herbs used to treat Lyme are also effective against the coinfections.

HOW do we know what to treat first? This is so frustrating.

Everyday I feel like I'm about to embark on a decision and then I get conflicting information.

Yesterday I was advised NOT to worry about Babs/Bart right now. To build up immunity and lower cyto-something or other.

Today, if my reading comp. skills are working, and they may not be, I see that some people shoud treat cos. first?

AND how do we know if we have mold, yeast, etc... How do you treat for that?

LLMD did suggest we may want to get Will checked out for mold but that doctor is also almost $1K and that is before testing. So treating three people for all of this is just getting crazy.

I think this is one of the troubles with not only a board that helps with all stages of treatments, but with so many different opinions on "what's best" - everyone has their own opinion on things due to all the guess work that happens with these infections. There can be lots of confusing information.

Just remember, it's one step at a time.

I had to treat Lyme first, as it was causing such dysfunction cognitively, I was considered in the very late stages of dementia - not to mention the Neuro issues. Then came Bart, because of my Neuro issues were still so severe. Next was Babesia, because during Lyme and Bart treatments, my air hunger got pretty serious. Somewhere along the lines, my anaplasmosis, erhlichia, RMSF and others were treated as well.

Huddie, stress is our biggest enemy - it not only keeps us from thinking straight, but it also lowers our own immune function. While I honestly can not say not to worry about your son (I would!), I would encourage you to try to minimize your stress as much as you can.

Hang in there, Huddie!! There are many ways to heal from these infections, it's just that some of us have limited options due to what our body will tolerate or heal with. Abx are not a no go, and you know the basics about supporting your body, so do what you need to with zero guilt!!!
