Question, decided to tackle candida first.

I have been struggling quite a bit with what to take, I have MCS so I react badly to almost everything at this point.

I've decided that tackling candida first is the best way to go... I realised today that I've actually gone quite downhill during the past month. I snuck dairy back into my diet, this may be the main culprit. I don't even know how I let myself do that but sometimes I do things hoping that my better conscience won't notice, lol.

I plan on taking 2-4 tbsp of coconut oil a day. I have been taking about a tbsp of MCT oil daily for a couple of months, so I do have some concerns about adding the coconut oil on top of that (too much of a good thing?). I am also going to take apple cider vinegar (anyone have recommendations on dosage?).

I'm just wondering what would be better, a prescription antifungal or a natural antifungal? I do think that it is possible for me to get a script for one.

Have you had the candida tests done? All mine say negative but I still feel like I am struggling with it. I also have MCS so it is hard to take anything. I tried to tackle candida while still taking azithromycin last year. I did the anti candida diet to perfection and was taking diflucan and nystatin at one point alternating. I just want to warn you to be aware of your adrenals and support them. If you do the anti candida diet and starve the body too much and your adrenals are not balanced....you can crash. Which is what happened to me. I wasn't doing anything for my adrenals. Mine were already over worked from the infections....but in hind sight a new specialist told me that I should have supported them before going after the candida. Hope this helps and maybe you already were aware so I apologize if I'm stating the obvious.

10 - Is it possible to take too much Apple Cider Vinegar?

There is no clear limit as to how much Apple Cider Vinegar an individual can or should ingest. However, one should remember that, as with anything in life, one can have "too much of a good thing".For a delicious, ideal pick-me-up at home, work, sports or gym, we recommend taking the Bragg Vinegar Health Drink 3 times daily - upon arising, mid-morning and mid-afternoon. To make the drink, stir 1 to 2 tsps Bragg Organic Vinegar in 8 oz. Glass Purified Water and (optional) to taste 1 to 2 tsps Organic Honey, 100% Maple Syrup, Blackstrap Molasses, or 4 drops herb Stevia.

I actually do 2 tablespoons in water, 3 times a day. I am so used to the taste, I don't add anything. And Bragg's has apple cider vinegar drinks. Oh my gosh the Apple Cinnamon is like eating an apple pie. The Ginger Spice is great and so is the Concord Grape. When I am out and about, I either take one of these or grab one at the store. Many regular super markets around here are carrying them.

Drinking Bone Broth is an excellent way to support the adrenals. It can be rather pricey on line, so if you need some recipes to make your own, some on here can give you ideas.

For me, keeping stress at a minimum, which means walking away from disagreements or avoiding them altogether, has helped immensely.

So has avoiding hard to digest food, and getting as much restive sleep as I can. I prefer trying natural ways first.

Although yeast was a BIG issue and I thought at one time I was only treating yeast, now I believe it is Lyme. Though my case is mild (maybe because of the aggressive anti fungal treatment) with the tingles, sore feet and calfs, some muscle breakdown, recent lung pain on inhale.

I didn't think it was anything more until recently. With what I know now I would go after any possible parasites first with Ivermectin. Not easy to get for humans but easy for horses.

That said Itraconazole and Terbinafine helped saved my eyesight. I could only handle 11 days of the former before chest pains forced me to stop. It took 12 days before that pain went away. The latter although not normally adequate versus yeast, went straight to work on the muscle behind my troubled left eye. I didn't even know I had a muscle there until I felt it tingling and itching an hour after the first dose.

Then I did over 5 months of Fluconazole including 3 weeks of Nystatin with a break and another 2 week course. I was honestly scared that I was dealing with a resistant strain.

Then the foreign object feeling cleared from my eye just in the nick of time. A couple weeks later muscle fatigue forced me to stop. I was combining it with Doxy for a month as they are synergistic but my kidneys were getting fatigued so I stopped Doxy.

My TSH for thyroid came back extremely low and cholesterol high. With all of the mold I inhaled I am not surprised.

I have been using nascent iodine for thyroid support and I think it makes a world of difference. Gaia herbs makes a great product called Adrenal Health also. Cutting out coffee will also help if you can do it. I am down to a half mug a day. Its a weakness of mine.

I mostly went it alone with hundreds of hours of research reading medical journals. If someone found themselves in my position where the doctors didn't believe it was systemic and they were trying to save their own eyesight then I would give them my notes to work with but it would have been less scary to have doctors to work with.

I did share info with my GP after the fact.
