Hey everyone I'm finally back from my trip to Texas. It went well.
The morning I left I got a call from the doc and was told I do have Lyme per igenix.

Holy crap! Have you got all the protocol lined up to fight, now that you know for sure? I know you've been fighting it already, will you be ramping up?

Did they test for co's too?

Fabulous news! Fabulous in the sense that you have that affirmation and options for continued treatment. Not so fabulous, just because, anyone who has lyme +co's --- it is a journey.

Well you got Lyme Bingo. That's what I was told when I had similar.

Glad you got your results after the holiday and I really hope you were able to enjoy it.

Will you be doing abx, herbs or a series of both?

Everyone keep in mind I was triple DX for ALS which has Me beyond pissed lol
I was already muscle tested for cos and I have them see signature.
I have not started a killing prote yet. I've been working on detox and diet.
I will incorporate killing foods then start herbs... No abx for me unless absolutely needed. I will start with bruhner cowden mix and see what happens.

Anyway, you're a ways ahead of the game that many are at this point and we're with you the whole way.

Only on this board where you find people happy to get a positive lyme test.

Yep als 3x.
I'm excited but nervous as I wanna do this right cuz it's my life and most docs won't help and my fmd is so pricey. I look to this forum for direction.

Congratuladolences ...even cdc positive ...oh la la ...unsurance has to cover 30 days rocephin . I say do it ...look ninja ,you and only you care enough about your well being ...im sure you have read the dave martz story ..i spoke to his protoge in the springs ..she said we have to hit it hard ...mike is trying herbs too but this is not like we are a little sick .we have Nerve Damage ! And every day we dont encyst, attack kill and /or build is another day that bugs are eating us alive ...for your sons sake i hope you throw everything you can at it . .. . I would start the bart myco buhner full strengh asap and reconsider bvt ...
my friend who also had als dx is back working after 2 yrs bvt and h202...
if you can do the iv abx insurance has to pay 30 days then you can use the picc at your alt doc with ozone bs ..i am rooting for you randy .you need to fight for your life !

The Moderators on here know as much, or more than most doctors. I meant that. I basically copy and paste things and walk into my LLMD (who is an expert) mostly saying thing like "what about X test?" Or "no thanks that's a black box drug." Stuff like that. It's still a foreign language to me but they make it all doable.

And when you have bad days we are here to listen and to make you feel sane. Someone on here will always add an "Yes, that happened to me too."

I think its so interesting how we lymies get happy when we get a positive result. People on the outside looking in, must think we are nuts. But we fully understand why.

My LLMD was a little thrown off when she had a somber demeanor when giving me the news I was positive for borrelia and co, but I had a smile on my face haha.

Well he'll yeah I'm way excited lol I was told I had an incurable disease that no doc knows how we get. And I was gunna die in 2-5yrs htf can a darn doc ever give DX like that sorry sacks of monkey spit lol hell I cried all day and so did my significant other. I think she was more devistated than me lol but now we are relieved knowing we have a chance to fight as we believe she is now infected also and as she loses weight her symptoms are kicking in also. So what I do she will do.

I'm sorry to hear about your significant other. Yes weight loss for me came first and then all the symptoms. It seems she is going through the same timeline.

You two have more than just a chance to fight it. Treat well, treat properly. Be thorough. Stay dedicated and you two will definitely bounce back. Lyme is terrible but it's not invincible.

Positive for Lyme certainly beats the "other" diagnosis.

You've got something you can treat.

Agreed that this is great news for you!! And I too am very sorry to hear your significant other is also dealing with these infections - but at least you have each other to help support you as you heal!

I was under the impression that I would never heal either, because what I was diagnosed with was Fibro and EBV - and told by many doctors that my life would never change. But, I did heal and although I got reinfected, I will heal yet again and be back on my feet again one day!!

For me I think I may know roughly when I got infected and I know it was a sqeeter not a tick. The thing is it's at my moms house cuz I used to live next door to her. There are tons of sqeeters there in the summer.

Borrelia and co-infection bacteria have been found in several vectors outside of ticks. They have been found in Mosquitoes, spiders, biting flies, and even lice.

I believe mine was from a mosquito for several reasons.
