Low dose Naltrexone

Hi,
Just went back to the doctor after experiencing numbness in my toes and extreme sensitivities in my fingers. She believes that either my immune system may be attacking my body while trying to fight lyme and EBV or that lyme has gone into my CNS and PNS. She is running more autoimmune labs and has prescribed me on low dose naltrexone due to the hard time I had with treating lyme with antibiotics. Has anyone else tried treating lyme/boosting immunes system with this drug? She wants me to give a try for 4 weeks and come back to see how it is working.

I have treated Bartonella in the past, but the Dr. recommended taking a break from treatment due to not being able to tolerate it well and being in graduate school. However, since my symptoms began to worsen, I decided I needed to go back to the Dr. and give treatment a try again.

I started with 1.5 mg and slowly titrated up (I can't remember if it was 4.5 or 6)

It took me several weeks to do that... I think it was about 2 months...I gave up at that point.

Some people find it works, others don't.
Certainly worth a try.
