Viruses and vaccines

So I know we were having the discussion about viruses which led me to research about possible vaccines being produced to tackle many viruses, specifically viruses in the Herpes family. Almost everyone in the world has at least a few viruses(ex-EBV/CMV/HSV1) in the herpes family, so why hasn't the government done anything to help eradicate them?? Obvious that big pharma controls everything and why cure people when you can make money with antivirals that help to repress the virus but not cure it.

"There is an HSV vaccine. It was made in 2005, and was very potent. It would cure the uninfected and it would supress the virus in those that are effected. Sigh, I am going to dig this up. Its a vaccine based off a live atentuated virus, which is why it is so effective. It went to the third clinical trials in Mexico, but all the big pharmas refused to partner up to develop the vaccine so it died.

There are many vaccines being made, but they are based of DNA subunits, but these vaccines have failed for 2 decades now, as they only fight a small subunit of the virus, while a live virus would create antigens that fight every part of the virus.

Of all the viruses being made now, Dr. Halford is promising a workable live accentuated vaccine can cure us all. But the FDA is not interested in his route they prefer the failed DNA subunit vaccines, that are unlikely to cure anything, but provide therapy for the infected.

There is also a live virus vaccine being created in Japan, right now, I believe.

Further more, AIC 316 is a drug that can virtually supress the VIRUS, EXTREMELY effective, but the FDA in a super corupt move, forced them to test the drug in the 2nd trials to give monkey 800 times the recommended dosage, leading to stomach problems, and under this prexext have put a hold on the drug. AIC 316 has already completey Phase 1 trials, which is human safety, it is found to be non toxic and safe.

And finally, at MIT, they have invented a drug, DRACO, that can cure all viruses. It has the potential to cure HIV, most likely it is a cure. Only been tested on mice, but works like a charm. ONly problem? Zero funding.

The science to cure Herpes exists. Its there. Read Halfords blog. Because of weak public will, stigma of anyone trying to help, and the extreme malaise for FDA and Pharma, It is very difficult for any scientific progress to help HSV sufferers. Its very very curable. There have been one amazing therpeutic strategy after another that has surfaced, but no point if none of them will be developed."

I dont understand why people like Zuckerberg, who pledged to donate billions for disease cures, donate for something like this.

I think what they meant to say maybe that given as a vaccine to those uninfected, it made them immune to catching that virus, their wording is probably messed up.

I agree with you on the vaccines. A few years back I got my first flue vaccine. Well I became sick for a good month after getting it. People just said it was a coincidence with coming down with another infection when I got the vaccine, but I displayed any symptoms prior to it, and it only started a day or two after I got the vaccine. I am not for getting vaccinated for the flu every year, though I understand why people with low immune system and elderly might have to. I feel for something like HSV though a vaccine would be a good idea. One less infection to worry about inside our bodies.
