I have experience with Fluconazole (Diflucan) as I took it for 6 months with other antifungals.
At the time I believed I was only dealing with a systemic yeast infection.
I believe a combination of Itraconazole, Terbinafine, and Fluconazole (at different times not all at once) saved sight in my left eye. Itraconazole was very difficult to tolerate. I lasted 11days and needed 12 off to repair as I think it was leading to congestive heart failure.
Fluconazole was tough after a week and I had to take a break for a week before resuming mainly due to kidney fatigue.
Eyes didn't go from red to white until I added Doxy but a month of Doxy is all I could tolerate (kidney fatigue). I am glad I stopped Doxy because I believe it is risky as a monotherapy and others confirm this. There is an NCBI study that states Doxy and Fluconazole may be synergistic.
There may still be issues going on in my eye but nothing like before and it is much improved. I don't feel a foreign object feeling anymore.
Once again I find myself in agreement with +Georgia Hunter 's assessment.
I just completed reading the new Savely Morgellons E book that is free on kindle for the remainder of the day at the link below. The book also agrees.
