Multidrug-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria (and persister cells) have been successfully eradicated from a lab-cultured biofilm, using a mild electric current (via an electrochemical scaffold) combined with an antibiotic, finds Washington State University researchers.

Interesting article, jenny.


I think it could be relevant...since persisters are what appears to be occurring when we treat chronic lyme disease.

So yes n no ...Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a gram neg rod bacteria. And h202 is thr procrss by which most wbc kills pathogens ...tobrymycin is what abx is in my eyedrops ..i believe related to gentimycin ..which is the best bart killer out there . (Its ototoxic and may harm kindeys but kill gram neg bart ..

so anecdotally here i was talking with my nurse friend that was told she had als and foot drop and she is well and back working now having used bvt and double dose h202 in d5w (dextrose ) i asked my alt doc to give me 5 ml of h202 in my drip and she was ascardy cat saying it may lyse cells open ..my other doc friend said it should be np if twice as much fluid was given over longer time to avoid irritation .i digress...so my friend had lyme ,erlichia and others ...erlichia being a intercellular gram neg ..
So her shcedule was monday bvt tue h202 wed bvt thur h202 and fri bvt for 2 years she said this and parasite tx got her well.my theory is the h202 may lyse and the bvt killed just enough to open and eradicate...the donation of electron is the idea behing silver and ozone ...and though it may cause oxidative stress and take catalase to process my llmd says pathogens have not yet become resistant to it ....so bvt , silver ,rigampin and zith is kicking some biofilm but right now

blue - how are you finding the Rifampin?

Are you doing once daily (600mg) dose or twice (300 mg)?

I just jumped to the 600 2x ..tolerating better but spoke to llmd today he said pulsing is ok and listen to my liver ...i gunna give it a go after you and reminder did better on it i have gain 3 lbs muscle yay

You're doing double dose of 600 twice daily (or is that a typo?)

gain of 3 lbs - it's in the right direction....it's significant.


Yah, I think bart had something to do with my liver enzymes. Had a kazillion cats (and bites ) in my lifetime..
diagnosed with gilbert's syndrome late teens (high bilirubin) - every blood test showed that...until treatment with antibiotics...now not gilbert's syndrome...
My regular Dr. doesn't think it's significant...bilirubin can fluctuate..she says.

I don't agree...all those years...it never fluctuated...always high...now it's good for over a year...every single blood test (done monthly) - no more gilbert's syndrome. I think possibly had bart for a very long time...and was keeping at bay for the most part...until I got lyme...couldn't fight both.

After year of treating bart still had it in my blood - pcr test. no wonder I don't feel good...

Ya same with cats and i ..ya its typo ..300 2x for total of 600 ...gunna give it a few ...still not sure about pulsing but with 4 hr half life ..even every day is pulsing ...

For something like a rife? Possibly, but keep in mind that pseudomonas biofilms are not necessarily the same as borrelial. In fact according to sapi borrelia biofilms are quite hardy compared to many
