For those comfortable enough with the technicals, let's play doctor.

What treatment would you prescribe for you?

Please be as specific as possible on any dose, pulsing, and cycling you would use and why.

Please state if this is what your LLMD actually prescribed or state any and all deviations as well as why you are recommending them (of course without mentioning their name).

Please state all cautions and warnings that you would advise the patient and note if your LLMD stated these cautions or failed to.

Please include any other relevant information including how long you've likely been infected with Borellia, how you suspect it was acquired, and which co-infections you suspect or have tested positive for.

I wouldn't prescribe any treatment until I get a full load of testing done. Not necessarily for Lyme or RMSF again, but for cortisol, mold, and the usual cbc.

I would start with this combined with an extensive patient history. Minimize environmental/dietary/lifestyle contributors first. Use any sort of needed detox (ie cholestyramine). Approach herbal therapy much in the way buhner does to correct immunological issues first. Then use antimicrobial herbs and if needed abx last. Identify, eliminate, correct, kill. I think if you jump to the last step without the former you just end up spinning your wheels.

You are right.

I, in all my lyme brain confused thinking, knowing my history but not what my blood/fluids say, forgot that I wouldn't know my history either if I were my Dr.

That's not so easy to answer. I would and did direct my own treatment the first time. So I agree with what my doctor did. LOL! I was seeing a TCM doctor at the time, and she just double checked my herbs for Lyme and Bart, then directed my Babesia treatment on her own basically.

I have repeated this treatment again, when I was reinfected - then I added in a biofilm buster and started herxing so bad that I had to stop treatments - then Thanksgiving came up and then hubby's surgery.... so I'm still not doing much for treatments at this point and likely won't until after Christmas.

I do agree about getting an extensive background and ordering more than a few tests should be the first step. How can we know where to go if we don't know where we are starting from?

Traveler, I just took note of you saying you're taking a break from treatment until after the Holidays.
Not only is this a good idea with all you have on your plate right now, but good advice for me, and I think I'll pass it along to my daughter.

That being said, I know that doesn't include stopping basic detoxing or taking probiotics. That wouldn't be helpful at all.

I would say stick with the rifampin ..see if zith is causing an allergy ..would have gotten on s boulardi even with herbal abx ..and been mor dilegent with antifungal maybe pulse diflucan ...more fire tree bark ..add some herbals ..get mri of spine ..do gb flush and better parasite cleanse ...i would get a better rife go for bart everyday and more antiviral herbs lysine ..etc ..more iv phosphatydlcholine mor iv curcumin for inflammation. .seebif there is a response to artensuate ..and swap tini and alinia more ..would add mhbot and more ozone sauna. ..get a private chef and build a sweat lodge while i am dreaming ...

I did herbs and I never stopped or looked back - did not want to turn into a pillar of salt.

It was not easy, convenient or appropriate to many situations but I MADE it work come h e double hocky sticks. I was not going to let this disease grow.

I wanted it dead asap and I did what it took to get there. It was a total pain in the rear end.

I will never forget pulling over to the parking lot of the vet and pulling out my herbs to take along with bottled water because I had spent the morning Christmas shopping. I was sure the vet's office was going to call and say someone was doing drugs in their parking lot.

I never quit. I never gave up. And I won! I stuck with the program (protocol).

Now you have to know me. I am a perfectionist, type A personality and I don't give up ever. It was not easy but it was not hard. I have no regrets.

And at Christmas dinner -- I took my drops and I ate the vegetables and the meat. No thank you for the sugary pies, etc.

Did I miss anything??? How can you measure being in remission??? This Christmas I will have pie.

I would require the patient to see a biological dds and be treated.
I would also test and treat parasite and heavy metals
