Beware the dropper to ml conversion!

This has come up before but worth mentioning again. If you look at a dropper to fluid ounce converter it'll tell you 100 drops equals 1 fluid ounce but that isn't always true. It really depends on the dropper for example I bought 2 oz blue bottles with droppers from amazon and did an experiment on how many drops it would take to equal 1/2 tsp. Do you think it was 50? Nope, in fact it was about 120! I think the texture of the liquid also comes into play here.

In order to be sure you should always do a measurement using the dropper in question and say a 1/4 or 1/2 tsp measuring spoon.

i tried a couple of different tinctures and i got varying # of drops per 1/2 tsp. water it seems is true to form in the blue 2oz droppers but the actual herb tinctures are not. weird!

the amount of each herb really depends on several factors. first off what you can tolerate. another is what the protocol calls for if you follow say a buhner protocol and even then it's all up to the individual (e.g. for bartonella he says take japanese knotweed 1/4-1/2 tsp 3x day which is a big range).

i originally asked myself this question cause i bought a 4oz bottle of cordyceps which is 120ml which is a bit over 24tsp. taking 1/2tsp 3x a day i should've run out i 16 days but i've been at it for over a month so i was like huh?

if you can best to have a 1/4 tsp measuring spoon and fill it with as many droppers as it takes then put in your glass with water. can't screw it up that way!

Huddie you should really pick up Buhner's books on Lyme, Bartonella and Babesia. He's a wealth of information on the benefits of different types of herbs. Really helpful.

I use a stainless steel spoon, but not aluminum.
