Intense neck pain at base of head, headache and hand tremors

I'm currently being treated for Lyme relapse for last 2 months. about a month ago I began to have neck pain that has become quite intense at the base of the back of my head, along with headache, jaw pain and pain in my shoulder. I also have tremors in my hands, so the Dr. is sending me for a neck and brain MRI. I don't know if the neck pain and tremors are associated with the Lyme. Has anyone had similar problems / MRI associated with Lyme? What were the results / treatment? It's rather disturbing if I think about it too much :(

Yes, I have, but not all at the same time, or if it was, I didn't attribute it to Lyme because I had been told I didn't have it.

Yes, these things are all symptoms of Lyme, which doesn't necessarily mean it can't be something else, but if you already know you have it, chances are that's what's going on.

Sorry, pain near and in the head is the worst!

Can you try to do some gentle de-toxing like a epsom salt foot soak or bath? Drink some lemon water and or take a spoonful of Bragg's apple cider vinegar with the 'mother'?

You might also try taking a binder, like charcoal caps or Bentonite clay in water, to draw out excess toxins that can be causing this.

Creekside is this a relapse? And you have never had those pains with lyme before?

I ask because those are very familiar pains to me.

I am so very sorry you have relapsed. How long were you in remission?

This is my greatest fear, a relapse.

Ya its lyme maybe bartonella ...most of my twithcing has been resolved with bvt and rocephin ...mri said hypoperfusuon and small lesions ...

I was in remission for about 3 years after Doxy and supplement treatment. I had ankle surgery this last May which I think triggered the relapse. I had neck pain before, but it was just the right side of my neck, and not into my head. This is intense pain in the back of my neck and head and tightness in the right side neck muscles.
Maggo 2 - What is a biological dds?
Bluelyme - What is bvt and recephin.
I did 10 days of Doxy a few weeks ago, am taking Argentyn 23 silver hydrosol, & Transfer Factor Multi-immune. I see the Dr. tomorrow and am going to see if I can go back on Transfer Factor LymePlus which is what I used before. MRI is scheduled for Wed. Dec. 21. My neck is so tight and the headache is bad - I really need something to help relieve the pain!

Yes, I had horrible headaches, and neck pain, and jaw pain, and teeth pain. I think in part due to lyme, and in part to bart. It is good that you are getting an MRI, I hope they do one with contrast - an MRA. One of my issues was a brain aneurysm, which might have been due to the lyme + co-infections. My neck pain persists, but I have 4 slipped discs in it, and I think it is mostly the old dance injury now. The neck cricks and creaking and snapping has cleared with treatment. Hang in there!

Are you having any dizzy or woozy feelings? Is the headache worse when you bend over or exercise? Do you ever lose your balance? Those were the signals that it was related to vascular stuff in my brain.

The headache that travels, or hurts to touch one's cranium, pain behind the eyes - I think was more related to lyme.

Complicated puzzle sorting it out!

I am so very sorry. I had the most horrible head pain. It was behind my ear. Narcotics did nothing for it. My neck sounded like it had gravel in it when I turned my head from side to side. My shoulders were so achy. It was like I had overdone shrugs at the gym or something.

I am pretty sure mine was lyme. But, during my treatment for lyme I did have one bart mark on my stomach. At the end of my lyme treatment I did Houttuynia just in case there was bart hanging around.

Again, I am so sorry you relapsed. It is a huge fear of mine.

Sounds like the meningitis type of symptoms that I get with Lyme from time to time. It's truly miserable as very little will help it, other than time.

It's always good if you can get tested to make sure it's not something else, but as has been said, most of the time it will be Lyme and company.

BVT = Bee Venom Therapy
Rocephin (Blue misspelled it) - is an abx that is often used to treat these infections.
Biological DDS = A different kind of dentist, one that understands how the mouth is connected to the health of the whole body. They will use less toxic things to help repair damage, including looking for infections in the mouth. I'm sure I didn't explain that well enough though! Hopefully, this link will help:
