So is 3 months on doxy too long?
I've been addressing methylation issues as well as diet.
My soles of my feet hurt in the morning when I get out of bed. And I get the vibration sensations plus migraines and head pain galore. I also get air hunger and my doc addressed this on Tuesday, wants me to work on regulating and slowing down my breathing. I get random sweats. Cold sweats I would say. It's gross.
three months on doxy alone - is too long, yes. Time to add another one.
In a recent tick bite, I know people who have taken doxy alone and recovered.
But, for chronic, long-term treatment...monotherapy is a not recommended.
It's okay to start with one antibiotic...but a second one should be added after a few weeks.
You could add Rifampin to it...sounds like you might have bartonella.
Or switch to another one - minocycline...is a good one...and then add the Rifampin a few weeks later.
Another option is adding a cyst buster to the doxy. I would think after three months of doxy alone..you've got cyst form.
