My one year anniversary with Lyme, and the Holidays

I need to get a few things off my chest so I hope you all don't mind if I have a bit of a ramble.

My symptoms with Lyme started last year on December 29th, 2015. Just after Christmas, and on my fiance and I's anniversary date. I remember it of course, like it was yesterday. We were sitting in the movie theatre watching the latest Star Wars movie and my elbow began to throb painfully, a pain I have never felt before. It was alarming but I thought it would pass. Little did I know this would be the start of a year from hell, the worst year of my life. 2016, and I am feeling very emotional now, as 2017 gets closer and I don't feel I have made as much progress as I should have. I really don't know what 2017 will have in store for me, because Lyme keeps me guessing everyday and I can't ever seem to stay ahead of it.

Christmas time has always depressed me for some reason, maybe because of the cold and dark, but this year it is worse. I just want to say to everyone on this board, if you are going through a rough time this Holiday you are not alone in it. Despite all of our hardships I want to wish you all a great Christmas with your loved ones and family; and thank you for everything and your all your advice and words of encouragement over the past year.

Hang in there evianangel, none of us know what's ahead, but try to keep a positive attitude, that alone will help.

Yep, it's not a time I've had much fondness for, for multiple reasons, it's a milestone to get past. This, and the new year, and into the season of regrowth and promise.

I was thinking this morning what I would give to sink my ice cold feet in some warm sand somewhere, right up to my ankles! Ha, well, Florida is out of the question, so I'll just have to dream about it!
