Where do you get your methyl B12 vials?

DS was given a methyl B12 injection last week and he felt 100% for 2 days. His LLNP thought it might help him miss less school. He is feeling 80% on well days and 20-30% on sick days. He wants to get the shots regularly, 2x a week.

The cost from the local compounding pharmacy is so high (+$150 for 8 small injections equaling 1 month dosing).

Has anyone here ordered online and then bought syringes, saline etc at the pharmacy to mix yourselves? Is it difficult? What companies are reputable? I see a place in England that ships internationally and it's $96 for a powdered vial that would last a very long time if I don't have to mix the whole vial at once.

I don't want to do anything risky though.

I use a compounding pharmacy and pay 68 dollars for 10 vials including syringes and alcohol wipes. My dosage is 0.5ml so each vial has slightly more in it than 0.5ml. I am sure if your prescription called for more than that dose the price changes. The pharmacy is dorneyville compounding pharmacy in allentown pennsylvania. phone # is (610)-437-4600.

Thank you very much for this information. It is less than half the price of what we are being charged for eight vials of the same dosage where I live, just south of you. I will get in touch with your pharmacy and see if they are willing to ship.

joee, DS's dr is here in DC also - probably the same one, lol. I will give a call and see about transferring the prescription for the next order.

One last question, do they ship it to you frozen? It's my understanding it needs to be chilled.
