Enlarged tonsils

Tonsillitis can occur for many reasons. Back when I was younger, pre-Lyme every virus and bacteria that wafted through and made other's have the usual flu or cold, would go straight to my tonsils.

And I would run to a doctor, because mine would swell up and almost choke me. A shot of Penicillin always did the trick, and then of course the day came when Drs. stopped doing that, and I just had to suffer it out.

They are there, as part of our glandular system, there to catch any nasties from going down our throats, or esophagus and causing more serious illness.

Since no longer getting shots, I've tried gargling with sea salt dissolved in warm water, which does help some.

And I may take a swig of Bragg's apple cider vinegar a couple of times a day, then keep myself on fluids.

Well, a few months is fairly extreme. Maybe go for a throat swab? Does it have any lesions, white or otherwise on it?

Hi. I have the same exact problem. My enlarged tonsil (on right side too) all started after I had dental work 1.5 years ago right before my lyme sxs started. Do you have any dental problems on the right side? Any root canals or anything?

Gargle with salt water and peroxide, use xylitol spray....
