DashGirl, I did exactly like julymorning suggests EXCEPT - I found nowhere that Buhner says to start an herb and days later, if no reaction, start the next herb. If someone finds this, please tell me the page number and which book.
I did the core protocol. I did herb by herb until I got to my max on that herb. I could tell by the way my body reacted. I held to that max for a couple of days and then I added in the next herb. Low and slow and got to my maximum dose on that herb. I held for a couple of days and then did the next herb.
This is totally contrary to what this forum advises, but I got to the same point as others and I never herxed.
After getting all the core protocol in me and herbs for my specific conditions, i.e., cardiovascular system, lymph system, then I started in on the herbs that were in the Bart protocol that were not in the core protocol. I added them in the same way I did the core.
Good luck and detox all the way.
I think either way will work...I chose to add them in all at low dose because they are synergistic...working well together..
To get at my top dose of the first herb would take several weeks to months(if only increasing a couple of drops every few days...and to get to even starting the third herb would be months.
I wanted to have them all working together as soon as possible...then increased each one slowly one at a time.
I believe it was cd3764 who wrote about
the herbs working synergistically and getting to low doses of all the herbs ... maybe it was the herbalist she spoke to?
