Pine Pollen and/or Buhner's muscle tone combo

Okay - When I did a Woodland essence order over a year ago...I saw the Pine Pollen.
...so I ordered the Pine Pollen for my husband...

So, I'm reading your post, and I turn around and ask my husband about it...before I read the rest of the post (thinking you were asking for your son)...
I say "did it work?"

He says "f--ck...yah"

I say "In what way?"

He says "it increased my testosterone"

I say "How do you know"

He says "it made me crabby"

I get up and look in the cupboard and he has both Muscle Combo and Pine Pollen.

I don't remember why I ordered one...and then the other. I'm thinking maybe the Pine Pollen was just too strong, so we ordered the Muscle Combo.

So, I asked him again, "It just made you crabby?" He said "I was very irritable"
He has used a lot of work out supplements over the years...and knows the feeling of when he's supplemented something that has boosted his testosterone.

He said he only uses it if he's going to follow up with exercise.

So, that's my (his) experience - take it or leave it.

If I were you, I wouldn't use it...

I had a saliva test done years ago that said I was estrogen dominant. Thanks for reminding me -I could get some bio identical progesterone cream

It sounds like your cupboards are full of forgotten tinctures/supplements too?

We should have a lyme garage sale -but it has to be indoors so we don't get bit. And with couches. Serving lemon water and detox tea.

careful i think it rases estrogen in women. but i dont recall for sure. buhner has radio interview about it on youtube i watched awhile ago.

It's supposed to help with estrogen dominance, but not raise the estrogen.

It never raised mine...

You could look into Maca root for the sex drive.

Didn't help me...

only thing that helped me was treating the infections...

(Not saying Maca won't help someone else though)

Natural compounded progesterone was awesome for me! I used it for menopause and I was estrogen dominant for years-- I had everything related to estrogen dominance way before it was even known... migraines, endometriosis, fibroid tumor, etc. Surgeries caused adhesions..... Lord did I have it all.

No, the first thing you should do is have your hormones tested - and not just estrogen. Women can be low in testosterone too. Supplementing the wrong hormone could make matters worse.

The 4 point saliva for adrenals are testing only the adrenal hormones.

For the type of hormones that include testosterone, estrogen and the like, you want to be sure that they include testing these hormones:
*Progesterone (via pregnanediol)

*Glucocorticoids, including cortisol

*Androgens, including DHEA and testosterone, and their metabolites

*Estrogens (E1 Estrone, E2 Estradiol, E3 Estriol) and metabolites, including hydroxylated and methoxylated estrogens

Some PCP's are willing to do these tests, some aren't. It might be worth asking them first. But if your PCP won't do it, certainly your LLMD should be willing. You can also order your own online if need be.

bumping because I'm interested in the woodland essence muscle/testosterone formula. I have reasons to believe my levels are low.

My wasting isn't simply wasting but muscle tone change as well. It's the type of look that a much older person would have, not necessarily "bad" but "old".

So as I search for answers I've thought about the issue of testosterone (or lack thereof).

Has anyone had any good results from this?

I used the muscle tone tincture, for weakness, and thought it was helpful for that. Not sure about testosterone, as that wasn't my goal, but it helped with muscle weakness
