Oily forehead with what appears to be acne

Hi friends,

At some point after treatment began my forehead became oily and I have what appears to be acne. I'm 26 years old and barely had acne in high school, so I'm certain it is related to the Lyme/Bartonella or the treatment.

I have found others online claiming that it's part of a herx, but I haven't found anything useful in terms of actually treating this unsightly issue. Has anyone experienced this and has recommendations?

Yep I have. All over different body parts. My exp has been the body pushing out toxins. Now that I've got a better detox regimen and better diet it's easing up a lot.

Our skin is a HUGE organ. It is one of the ways toxins get out of our body.

I "think" this might be what is happening. If it is, hydrating is imperative to keep it pushing out those toxins. Keeping it clean is also important. Clean but not dried out. So alcohol rubs should not be used and many soaps just fill the pores. Nice warm water all alone should keep it clean. Unless you are a coal miner. LOL!

Just know that your body is working and trying to get rid of some toxins.

It is usually just toxins being pushed out, as the others have said, but it can also be a sign of a yeast issue. Do be sure to check to see if you are showing any other signs of a yeast infection. Pirouette has a very wonderfully detailed post about yeast/fungal issues at the bottom of page 2 of our 'New to Lyme?' thread, and there are a ton of other sites with symptom lists.

You will see that many of the symptoms actually 'cross over' with Lyme symptoms, so it may be kind of hard to determine.
