Neem powder

I ordered Neem leaves from 1stchinese and I was wondering if its ok to grind them up in a powder and eat them? Is it too toxic for the body if I were to eat it rather than drinking tea from it or applying a paste from it topically??

my LLND is treating me herbal. He has me on Nature's Way Neem......
I don't know if it is the same thing as what you are taking but am assuming that if he is Rx'ing it, it is safe....
