Armin Lab Results - Also need help understanding

Hi Eak, welcome to the forum.

If you were only at 70% better and stopped treatment, then you stopped too soon.
The infection continued to grow...and now you have declined to 30%.

Without the ranges, I can't tell what your results show...but retesting wasn't necessary since you didn't treat long enough the first time.

I suggest you see a LLMD for evaluation and treatment.

We can help you find one..unless you want to go back to your previous LLMD. (Did he not want to continue treatment the first time?)

I agree - you need to get back into treatment. For whatever reason - could be too short of a time in treatment (we are supposed to stay in treatment until 2 months of no symptoms) or you may have been reinfected, since you say you did reach 100% - although that depends on if you reached that while you were in treatment.

If you are having symptoms, you need more treatment. If you need help in finding a LLMD/LLND, please do let us know!

Wow, you are all wonderful with quick and great information.

The reason treatment stopped was because I completed full courses of all of the Abx treatments that were prescribed. I was seen by a very well respected and knowledgeable LLND, but the fact that I am going backwards tends to support your thoughts that I wasn't under Abx treatment long enough. I guess even though 1.5 years is a long time, perhaps the Abx that was most impactful was not used long enough.

I did also have a DNA type of smear test done and it showed extensive Biofilm. I am wondering if that was the issue as well?

btw, the Armin lab ranges were:
0-1 = Neg
2-3 = weak positive
> 3 = positive

I guess the other thing to consider is during the Armin tests i have been taking various anti-Lyme herbal remedies which might have impacted the blood results?

I agree with Girlie - while that may have been your doctors view, it's not supported or true. Every person with Lyme simply won't heal in the same amount of time, even if they have the same symptoms and have been infected the same amount of time. That's actually a red flag now - any doctor that says that a person will be healed in ___ amount of time, really doesn't know enough about these infections to deliver an effective treatment to the patient. Sorry.

And, as Girlie said, 1.5 years seems like a really long time, when you take into consideration that the Lyme bacteria only divides and 'replicates' once every 3 - 5 weeks instead of the minutes, hours or days that it takes for other bacteria to do the same thing - much longer treatment times seem obvious.

Hi, Thanks for the feedback. I am not being clear on the history. He did not set timelines of 1.5 years. That is just the total amount of time I was on Abx. Each Abx protocol was a different length and he interacted with me, my ability to tolerate the meds and impact to my symptoms.

But I get what you are saying about trying with a new LLND. I really do think I need to start treatment again based on my state. I have a new LLND appointment in a couple of weeks, but he seems to focus more on Biophotonic therapies learnt through Dr. Klinghardt. I did a five day session once...but not sure if it was helpful.

Sadly it is not like there are a wide variety of LLND/MD's to choose from.

So, Why did you stop then, if you weren't fully healed? Didn't your LLND say you should be continuing?

There aren't many LL Dr. 's near you?

I stopped because I tried every protocol that he had suggested. My last was IV antibiotics, which was basically his last attempt at using abx with me.

Even though over the time of Abx treatment I saw some mild improvement there was no big gain. He did not say I should continue.

My most recent visit with the new Armin Labs results, I suggested trying another round of Abx treatment, but he seemed reluctant and wants me to take Sulfasalazine for 8 weeks.

Okay - then he quit on you...which is premature at 1 1/2 years.

That medication is a combo - anti-inflammatory with a sulfa antibiotic...So hopefully, it will have an effect on the bacteria. That's what I read - when I did a search on it.
