At 3 am I woke up with my hands hurting .. bad . They've never hurt without possible cause. I sat there wondering what I possibly could have done and all I did was take an augmentin before bed for the first time. I've taken a zpack then levaquin and now augmentin until I can see a LLMD. Then I remembered all I've read about the pain moving with antibiotics and making things worse.. the positive band and the symptom list being 80% .. and unless a llmd tells me I do not have it, and can tell me why .. I'm sure I have lyme!

Oan: I have always described my main symptom as fatigue bc that's what a Dr told me but when I actually look at the definition it's not fatigue. It's drowsiness .
Drowsiness is feeling the need to sleep. Fatigue is a lack of energy and motivation.

Is that anyone else's most debilitating synptom?

Well, I don't know enough about the different abx to be able to tell you what infection you might have hit, but that sure sounds like a herx! So be sure to increase your detoxing!

I've had narcolepsy - sitting still for any longer than 5 -7 minutes and I'd be sound asleep (it was timed by someone else) - so yes, I have had drowsiness as a major symptom before.

I slept on and off for weeks when I first got lyme before treatment. Actually while treating I was napping constantly.

Our bodies do a lot of healing when we sleep.

Your body needs additional rest to cope with the infection. It is actually beneficial to take a nap, it helps your body.

I wish I could sleep. I have the opposite problem. I can be bone tired and still not sleep. If your body will let you, sleep!

Great point on the fatigue thing. There is a difference. My drowsiness ("fatigue") when I was dealing with lyme was not the most intense symptom, though it was significant and bothersome.

It was probably the worst symptom for my sister when she had it, I would say. My mother still deals with it. "fatigue" and arthritis is my mother lingering lyme symptoms. She's kind of accepted it (being an older person in her 60's,). She is no longer really treating lyme other than the herbs she has taken all her life already.

I also noticed today while at work my knuckles look bruised.. all of them! Idk why that would be though.

This sounds like Bartonella. Unusual bruising. I had that, I say have, because I have noticed that in awhile, it's been replaced with skin burning sensation.

Oh the skin burning and bruising for a cruising ....oh bart ...the first time i did iv vit c and iv silver my hands ached like that like someone was working them with a drill bit in the knuckles ......
you got em on the run event ...maybe mino or doxy to get them to encyst n stom drilling ...the clav can be hard on your liver too...
