Intercistal cystitis. Pelvic pain..Lyme and Bart

Last spring, after having what seem to be an urinary tract infection for weeks, and antibiotics, antifungals giving me no relief, I went to the emergency room with severe pelvic pain. As usual, they found nothing in tests except a cyst on my kidney and sent me to a urologist.

The urologist was not at all concerned about my kidney, and when I asked if there was any correlation between my pelvic pain and Lyme, he said you don't have Lyme, you have already been treated. Unnnhuh...ok....He said, I believe you have intercistal cystitis, and this had nothing to do with Lyme.

I had a procedure done, and it gave me relief, however, I was told that the relief would be temporary and I may have to have the procedure repeated annually, and go on some sort of prescription (benzo.)

At that time, I was taking doxy/azith.

I have noticed over the last several months that all bladder pain has subsided. I doubt it was the procedure, with the dim prognosis the doctor gave me.

I've never had to take prescription meds for this condition.

My research shows me there a very strong possibly this is a symptom of Lyme and Bart, not so much babesia.

In my heart of hearts (and my bladder of bladders), 😉 I believe my herbals and the strengthening of my immune system, post antibiotics, is the reason.

My gluten free/sugar free diet may also certainly be a factor.

Of course, this is speculation on my part, but then again, what about all this journey isn't speculation. 🙄

Anyone else with I/C symptoms or have had treatment?

Yes, i have had this symptom. It tends to flare up when i take abx. I have also read lyme, bart and also brucella (which i tested positive for as well as lyme, rmsf). I think one of the mycoplasma's may also like the bladder.

I got IC from Lyme. Something I read recently makes me think it was Bart. My LLND suggested I take Bladder Ease by Vitanica. That's kept it in check. Reading the reviews on Amazon people take the product for IC.

My mentor thinks her ic was caused by bart vinconii...ozone via catheder and bvt has resolved it ...

Gotta love Bart! (NOT!) Bart is what gives my bladder fits. I have this again and it's one of the most irritating things to me!!! LOL!

I'm not sure which infection gives me pelvic floor cramps, but that's definitely no fun either. It's not like I can grab it like I do when my foot cramps!!!
