cdc positive and insurance

If you are I genix and cdc positive will most insurances then cover your medical for lymes?

I was positive by Quest labs and I genix and cdc positive by both so I think it proves it or I hope it does

I'm cdc positive for Lyme and I tested positive for Bart. Almost every rx has been approved by my insurance but I've been on a platinum ppo plan. The insurance companies are more and more often "declining" drugs that need prior authorization. You may need to verify if something was truly declined or if it is just non formulary. If a drug is non formulary it will need prior authorization from your LLMD. The pharmacy will send your doctor the form your insurance company provided for the prior authorization. It's a nifty little move by the insurance companies to avoid covering the more expensive meds for people who don't know better.

Unfortunately insurance companies are also limiting the amount of days per month they will give you certain medications for. Regardless, testing positive does make things easier.
