Hi, I'm looking to attend the Hansa Center in just 3 months. I'm coming from Australia so this is a huge journey and more costly in comparison to those of you who make the trip in your own country (AUD$60,000). I've already done a lot of research, however I appreciate hearing from people who have attended, good or bad.

Patients who attended more than 2 years ago would be good as im looking for evidence of long term recovery as well as patients with over a decade of serious illness before being treated or who are as complex as myself.
I'm have diagnosis' of: late stage nuerological Lyme, multiple coinfections, mold, heavy metals, parasites, mthfr mutation, 2 unactivated detox genes, cfs/me. I've had Lyme for 12 years, went undiagnosed for 8. I'm at 50% health thanks to bioresonance, diet and detox methods, after years at 5% health with carers and being bedridden. So I'll be arriving at the Hansa in better shape than some, but still with significant problems.
I have a lot of Lyme in my brain and heart and I've heard Hansa "struggle" to help mold patients recover (this is only from 1 person).

Also, where did you stay and do you recommend it? Tallgrass inn is my front runner. I cannot hire a car due to exorbitant insurance costs so suburban houses like whitewood are not an option.

Ashleigh, please remove your email addresses from those other two threads you posted in.

I see you've removed one with your earlier post. Hi, Ashleigh. We have only been back from Hansa Center for 3 1/2 weeks. My hubby n I both went at the same time. I am still doing very well, although at this point healing is a roller coaster... more great days than bad days, and I was never having great days before. I am just detoxing ... a lot. My email is activated, so please feel free to message me if you want more... but we are going back for a week in May. I've had one doctor follow-up so far, and another this coming Friday... after the first one, we made a couple of adjustments, and I did another test for him that I mailed out on Friday... but I know I will heal. For the first I ever in a long time, I'm not doing this on my own, and I know I am in great hands to get well. But it's a bit of a marathon.

Hi 3humpedcamel, I did read your post and it was very helpful, thank you so much for sharing. I'm quite exhausted after a lot of reading on here so far, but if I think of some questions I'll send you an email smile

Ashleigh - You still haven't enabled your email option...to do this go to 'My Profile' (upper blue bar - left side) and add your email address...and click on 'show my email' and click on 'submit' at the bottom of the page.

That way members can send you emails.

I just re-read your post - wow! That's a lot of money to spend on treatment...

I hope you get the information you need to make a decision.

Thanks Girlie. Yes it is, we've had to raise a decent portion of it, my partner and I had to move back in with my parents to save for it too. Being overseas I'm going for 4 weeks, instead of 2 for my first trip and the cost of needing 3 flights to get there, longer accommodation time, passports, visas, mobile phone plans etc it all adds up but I'm sure it'll be worth it smile

Hi, Ashleigh. I am not far off fighting what you are fighting, although I have the mold/Lyme gene mutation... I do not have mold issues. My husband did however have mold issues. Not black mold, but environmental... different. They didn't seem to think treating that was any different than treating Lyme or any other issue. They treat the body as a systemic entity. I cannot imagine that they would flinch at the fact you have mold. we stayed at a Homewood Suites, but that is because they allowed us to bring our 3 medium sized dogs. It was a bit more expensive. I know Tallgrass was on my list as well... but they had a dog limit. Also, there were several folks who took shuttles back & forth. The therapists will schedule you accordingly so that it is convenient.
