Taking at least a pause in treatment. After 2 months of treatment I do not feel my lungs improving. Since this treatment directly affects the lung and my intermittent lung pain is still present I see no benefit to be obtained by continuing this therapy.
I didn't do much homework on this and trusted the practicing nurse who administrated it. It had become highly regarded by the local 'gringo' community.
I will embarrassingly admit, I only recently learned that more advanced places that offer ozone therapy do not inject the ozone directly into the body but instead add ozone to a unit of blood which has been removed from the body and
then reintroduce it to your body.
Apparently direct IV ozone has its risks which are clearer to me now after reading this blog and its link to the NCBI review within.
One thing I will say in its defense is that it rapidly (3 treatments) cured my sons bronchitis without the need for antibiotics.
The intermittent lung pain I have been experiencing is at a stalemate. Unless I determine that it was preventing me from getting much worse, I will reserve this as a last case treatment option.
