Are macrolides the only antibiotics that work in combo with Mepron for Babesia?

You could talk to your doctor about Bactrim. It's often used as an anti-protozoan.

Also Alinia.

The main purpose of the Zithromax is to ward off resistance.

I know these 2 other drugs are anti-protozoal, but whether they ward off resistance like Zithromax I'm not sure.

I would assume they would.

Ditto on Girlie. I found Zithromax to do very little for any of my infections. Biaxin a bit better but also not very effective. I personally think these abx's are so overused that most bacteria don't respond as well to them as others. I mean think about it every time you hear of someone with potential bacterial problem they give them a ZPak in the US.

According to both the Mepron and Malarone monographs:

Well, a very experienced, highly thought of LLMD pairs mino with mepron...and I know someone who has taken the two together with good results. (In addition to the LLMD who I previously mentioned - he is also a lot of experience)

Sometimes the good outweighs the bad.

I would - if I was seeing a LLMD who gets repeated results with it....for sure.
