Yea. I was researching that last week because I glanced at the symptoms on our chart and thought "oh crap, another one". I hit about
every symptom for it and have lived with livestock around me and the ticks.
No, docs don't test us for it, and from what I read, it's not all that easy to find in a test. Don't know why we can't just stand in line at the cattle sale barn, because they all get tested for that before getting a number.
The cattle, I mean, not the buyers.
Another reason it's probably not talked about
, and why I was shying away from starting this topic is the implications, because of how the medical community is used to talking about
the transmission methods. THey aren't real hip on the notion that ticks can transfer it yet. Some are, obviously, but I know darn well the reaction I would get from my Internist if I asked to be tested. If you're scratching your head, this is farm country and the usual mode of transference is through semen. It can also be ingested in infected meat though so, there is that avenue along with the bugs.
Thakfully Buhner goes into it. I forgot the replicating cycle of it.I will look it up again.
