I've been doing weekly (and expensive) IV drip Meyer's Cocktails (every other week Glutathione + Lysine) for about 3 months. I don't feel better after. In fact, I'm exhausted the rest of the day. I assume it's the magnesium making me sleepy.
Today the IV was especially painful. They had me do a saline drip in addition to the Meyer's and both bags were just non-stop pain for 2 hours. I complained to the nurse, but he kept telling me it shouldn't be hurting. He slowed down the drip and that helped, but then it would come back again. Dull, aching pain sometimes on my forearm, other at the needle site, sometimes on my shoulder and hand. After a while, I had to get out of there, I was starting to have a panic attack and the pain was too much. I asked the other nurse and she commented it might be they used too big a needle gauge. Might be. I also had reflux (regurgitation) and started coughing with a little phlegm.
Question is: Does it get better? These weekly IVs are really uncomfortable and they're all the way across town (45 mins both ways). Not to mention the price. After 3 months, you'd think I'd be dancing on air. No, I still feel weak like a kitten. Today was kinda the last straw. Not sure how much I can take. If I hear it takes six months, I'll keep going, but has anyone else had terrible experiences like this?
That does sound like a vein thing. I've had the burning but from glutathione. But coughing and phlegm....not.
I would give it a rest for now. You clearly aren't getting the benefits from it.
