PS, I think it is sad that we have to have a thread when a mod wants to take ONE day off!
Wow, that is dedication and not much of a life outside of lyme.....
We appreciate you Traveler, but golly gee..... Enjoy life once in awhile besides family emergencies. You too Girlie..... You guys are going to burn out being on here ALL the time.
I guess I don't need a life outside of the forum, lol.
Don't forget I'm a mod too.
We have set a high bar in this group, compared to the other groups on this site. We don't want posters to 'fall through the cracks', or go for days without responses-or in some cases no response at all.
Everyone knows these tick borne diseases don't get the treatment from main stream medicine that many other diseases or 'syndromes' do. On the other hand, helping involves more than one person's personal experience.
That corny saying "It takes a Village" is very much the case here.
Mods are needed to supervise this 'village'. One Mod at a time is fine, but it's our communication with each other makes helping here so much easier.
Some have regular activities away from the board and and so some of us try to communicate our activities with each other so that someone can be here.
Emergencies come up, and sometimes debilitating symptoms, so some of us communicate that with each other as well.
Nothing here would prevent any of us (Mods) from having "a life". While we would still devote a fair share of time helping, it's these diseases that is mainly keeping us bound.
It's unfortunate for Girlie and Traveler that a few of the new mods, including myself, that were brought in to give them more relief, are pretty sick right now and so aren't able to fill in as much as was hoped.
We are all lucky that they are as dedicated as they are. I made the thread in behalf of Traveler because I am in the same time zone that she is in, and also 2 hours earlier than Girlie. Neither Girlie or I are at our best in the mornings, thus my request - in the form of relating information so that no one might wonder where everyone is, and threads going on answered waiting for someone else to help.
