After a bit of looking around, I did find that Lyme can cause kidney issues:
/academic.oup.com/ndt/article/26/9/3054/1819994/Lyme-disease-associated-glomerulonephritis But, it seems there's more information on Babesia causing this, but it's mostly in dogs and cats that it's being reported. Veterinarian medicine is ahead of medical research and understanding in humans, unfortunately.
