www.tiredoflyme.com/anxiety.html I generally use Kava Kava. I put 1/4 teasp in a glass and add some water. It will turn the herb milky white. And then I chug it. Really throw it back down your throat because it has a numbing effect if you leave it in your mouth.
It is a very subtle calming herb. It takes the edges off. I also do not advise it being used full time on a daily basis.
As for the Valerian Root. It smells like dirty socks. So you really want to chug this one while holding your nose. LOL!
I like Valerian Root for bedtime and Kava during the day. That is just my preference and how my body reacts to those herbs. But, I never did both on the same day.
I tried to make a spray bottle of Kava for my purse. I put the Kava and water in a small spray bottle but the "chunks" of Kava clogged up the spray tube...... I only needed the anxiety herbs for a couple of months during my treatment.
