I got to the results of my ANA test back.
My titer was 1:40 (negative) and my ANA fluorescence test came back with as positive homogeneous. My Lupus DSDNA test came back negative.
Couldn't find that much online to explain this. Any suggestions or things I should test for next? I'm not entirely sure my entire problem is lyme anymore given that the treatments don't seem to work at all. I'm suspicious it might have an autoimmune component.

A good part of the population actually has roller-coastering ANA antibodies. I've heard several Drs say this in response to my same question. Not a good test.

Low thyroid symtoms overlap a good 75% with lyme and co's - which are the most comon grouped symptoms.

Tested for it?

In my opinion, anyone with lyme symptoms should be checked for both Hashimoto hypo thyroid antbodies: TPO and TGab.

Even if Ft3 and FT4 are in upper levels of ranges? (I can't remember what you told me before..sorry)
...and TSH is less than 1 on about 5 tests in past 3-4 years. (and T3/T4 upper levels)

...and I don't have fatigue.

Violet - lyme is known to cause some people to test positive for various antibodies - positive ANA is seen quite a bit

Did you not test positive for lyme...or have some positive bands?


Have you treated for lyme/bart and babs?

Well, I did say "anyone with lyme symptoms"- because if they do have hypo thyroid, yopu can tell what is from thyroid or lyme- as they are almost the same in the beginning, both effect the whole body AND cognitive function .......and brain chemistry levels from hormone influences..so anziety and depression too.

Autoimmune thyroid can start up the high antibodies even before the thyroid hormone levels T3 and T4 begin to drop.

Some Drs will challange these facts, but why? - they are facts, not opinions. They (most) dont know the facts. They are tought old info- which is why some chiropractors know more thyroid info than MD's... LOL.

I just had my thyroid tested and antibodies tested. Everything was fine.
I'm just wondering if maybe being predisposed to autoimmune issues might have triggered one when I got Lyme. (One grandmother has graves, father has psorasis, mother has skin issues too.) I came back positive for Lyme, babesia, and Bartonella. I've treated all of them at least twice and still I'm not getting better. It's been 4 years.
I'm just trying to explore all avenues. I've tried all the antibiotics I can take including IV.
The endocrinologist said it sounded like I probably had some autoimmune issue going on and recommended I see an NYU rheumatologist. So I'll see him in April. (Recommended NYU because they have "mystery diagnosis" sort of programs.)

Have you thought about seeing either Dr. J. in DC or Dr. H. in NY?

If you've treated all three B's twice...maybe one of the 'top' Docs may help?

Have you tried an herbal approach at all? If it was autoimmune it would suggest continued inflammation, which would suggest continued infection. I'm generally not a fan of autoimmune diagnoses as a result. They're symptoms more so than diseases. They occur either when the body mounts an immune response to an organism that has molecular similarities to human antigens or when an organism causes significant enough destruction to tissues that parts of those tissues get presented to lymphocytes. But that doesn't mean an investigation won't connect you to a new part of the picture.

Can you send me the names of those docs? I don't know about a lot of those doctors because they usually don't take insurance. I saw a Dr. B in upstate NY and a Dr. K in Trumbull? I think that was the city in CT.
I have tried Herbs before. A-BAB, A-BART, cryptolepsis, cats claw, Artemisia, and a couple others I can't remember. They made me feel worse and didn't help.
I have decided to start taking these after a hiatus of 3 months taking nothing:
1. Red root
2. Ashwangha
3. Oregano oil
4. Rhodiola
I am currently taking
1. Adrencor with licorice (and Rhodiola) seems to help a little bit
2. Thorne research multiclear plus (does seem to help)
3. Probiotics
What do you guys think of these?

In that list - I only see one antimicrobial - the Oregano oil.

You will need more than that.

Hold on you felt worse so you stopped? Sorry if you addressed this and I just missed it. But feeling worse on an effective treatment is pretty normal from the die off. Personally I have to take low doses so the dieoff goes away within a few days
