Hi everyone,
I will give you all a bit of an update on myself. I was the one always complaining of joint pain and muscle pain on this forum last year.
I got lyme (I suspect in 2012) my first symptoms were insomnia and inconsolable anxiety, other than that I was fine I didn't know I had lyme, I actually got diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder and put on SSRI's.
Fast forward to 2016, six months after I had my daughter I began to experience awful symptoms like joint and muscle pain, twitching, fatigue, anxiety, the whole works really. I had a lot of tests done, and the doctor's couldn't find anything. I later found out I had lyme from a naturopath doctor.
I have been taking Buhner's core protocol herbs since May 2016. I am currently using Hawaii Pharm Tinctures and using all kinds of herbs. It is getting very expensive...
Japanese Knotweed
Cats Claw
Andrographis
Cordyceps
Teasel
Elethero
Ashwaganda
Motherwort
Houttianya
1/4 teaspoon 3x a day of each of these babies
Well on a positive note, I am doing a lot better than I was last year. I was in SO much pain. Now I have virtually none. I feel that Teasel really helped me with my joint issues, as well as Androphagis and the beloved Japanese Knotweed.
I've had many days and weeks of feeling minimal symptoms. However every month there seems to be something different bothering me. A lot of times it is sleeping issues, and anxiety. Which I know is neurological in nature, also depression.
More alarming is that this week I have had increasing muscle twitching in my left calf. I also had a feeling of buzzing vibrations in both my legs at night, and resulted in me getting like 2 hours of sleep. I also have a feeling of my lower back being fatigued, and weak, as well as leg weakness. And that darn twitching...I am freaking out now thinking this is the start of MS, and that I should have an MRI done. Why when I am treating so aggressively and for so long is this happening? I haven't taken Gou Teng which I know is a herb that is useful for Neuro lyme and I do plan on ordering that.
Should I be really worried about these symptoms? I wish there was something I could take to get rid of my terrible anxiety, I have a feeling that someone has hijacked my brain and I am just along for the ride, and I've felt like that in varying degrees since 2012. I also am having some trouble with memory at work. It is awful, but I just don't know what to do next. Should I pursue this with a Doctor?
(I don't have an llmd, I have been strictly self-treating)
Thanks again
