I don't know how many of you are also on high blood pressure medications. But I'm also concerned about contraindications of things like Metoprolol (fairly good for tachychardia and somewhat for anxiety also). But my cardiologist just prescribed Losartan after I stopped taking Lisinopril and Amlodipine (persistent cough and swelling ankles) because the side effects outweighed the benefit in my opinion.
Well good old exercise would be good every now and again. And that would get my blood pressure down I think.
Best days for me seem to happen after eating super clean (think: leafy green veggies, broccoli, cabbage, kale, cruciferous and a lean meat like chx breast) and cutting out all alcohol, caffeine, carbs, starches, sugars. I quit all the herbal and traditional abx for a few weeks and managed 1 or 2 symptom free days with the help of Cholestyramine and a clean diet.
The only high blood pressure med that has minimal side effects for me besides tiredness is Metoprolol. It's good to take at night as it lowers blood pressure and blocks adrenal stress.
But my hypertension is usually at a constant Stage 1 right now. Anyone else with hypertension?
