Conversion rate for drops to tsp for Tinctures???

Trying to get up to max dose of Jap Knotweed of my tincture. I'm up to 10 drops. How much to I need for 1 tsp?

WOW! so Buhner's full dose recommendation of Jap Knotweed is 1/2 to 1 teaspoon 3-6x daily. Thats 100 to 120 drops 3-6 times per day??? Am I reading that correctly?

His second edition recommends 1/4-1 teaspoon 3-6x daily. That would be 1/2 dropper or 15 drops.


My head just went blank, lol. Sorry.

Best to suck up some water with the dropper, and try it into measuring spoons.

I did it a few times and it was close - as in within 3-4 drops.

What you can do is write down the herb, then did the drops into measuring spoons until you get the one that fits that size measuring spoon. This may change with the herb. It will be a drag the first time you do it for each herb, but at least you will have it written down for the future.

Ok, so a dropperful has roughly 27-28 drops in it. And Buhner recommends 1/4-1 teaspoon 3-6 times daily for max dose correct. So a full dropper is 1/2 teaspoon?

Ok thanks for your help. That just seems like a LOT of tincture per day at full dose. I guess that's why many have had success with his protocol. You just need to get a LOT of each in your system daily to kill all those little buggers.
