IMD - Intestinal Mercury Detox; a product of silica made with many arms of thiol groups made by Quicksilver Scientific based on the incredible work of Doctor Chris Shade PhD.
For all us who are sick I think some of us are sick from mercury and that is why some of us are able to easily get over this, some people don't get sick, and some get very sick. Well certainly a major peice of the puzzle... I'm sure other toxins that we accumulate in our life times also play a role.
But I'm also using more binders daily. I got takesumi supreme, activated coconut charcoal, the IMD... and I got zeolite but I am not sure if zeolite is safe to take or not. Also I'm loading up on lots of glutamine daily as I'm trying to heal my gut as well. There is theory that with leaky gut toxins excreted by the liver via the gall bladder simply get reabsorbed again and again.
Girlie- are you going to get it removed? Make sure you get it done by a Dentist that understands the proper protocols for removing mercury fillings. I remember when I got mine removed I got badly sick for like 4 months after. They say 1 mercury filling has about a full gram of mercury which is enough mercury to make a lake toxic! I read that somewhere. Mercury is so toxic that there is no safe amount at all to expose the body to. One molecule of mercury can bind to an enzyme in the body making it stop working. I am willing to bet you that is why you are still sick. In addition to that leaky gut makes mercury toxicity 10 times worse so staying on antibiotics won't help. Are you open to the possibility that some of the leftover inflammation in your body is due to mercury, leaky gut, bacteria leaking from the gut, or something else? I believe in my case a big chunk of the inflammation and pain is mercury and leaky gut related. I'm off all antibiotics for close to one full year and I am holding at 90%, I haven't regressed and still work full time. But I still think I got Bart but honestly the herbs I take keep it in check, I just can't cure it because of the other issues.
K07 - I had 3 mercury fillings. But I got them all removed. It's upsetting but after I got my 3 fillings I got sick for like 4 or 5 months and bad acne... but then I got better, however I always had mild fatigue like problems. When I got them removed I also got sick for like 3 or 4 months. I also had a time when I ate lots of tuna sandwiches which I now no longer eat. For a long time I used to think fish was healthy including salmon, but I now even cut out salmon. No sea food, the world is too toxic these days and mercury levels in the ocean are too high. But it is said small fish are still safe like sardines or anchovies, or algae.
I had 4 removed - and while I was pregnant! The dentist did not use any special protocols. I did spread them out because of the cost but still... One time I clearly remember my heart started racing during the procedure and I got really scared. I too ate a lot of canned tuna. If only we knew...
In regards to mercury impacting some and not others, I use Livewello to interpret my 23andme data and I saw a health report that listed the gene snp's that can indicate if you will have mercury sensitivity. They are: PON 1 rs662 and MTHFR a1298c. I have one copy of both of those genes, which indicates I may be more sensitive to mercury. My youngest child (whom I had the fillings out with) is homozygous for MTHFR a1298c, so I am especially concerned about
her. I do however feel grateful that I now have this knowledge to protect and hopefully rev
I have done heavy metal testing (dmsa challenge, urine collection) twice and the first time had no mercury register. A year later I am showing some. Not sure if I'm finally releasing or just had exposure. I use a lot of pink himalyan salt and recently read that it can have mercury in it. Figures. I still use it occasionally but use more celtic sea salt now. We will inherently be exposed to mercury and thousands of other toxins. I think daily detox with a variety of things is key.
