New foot pain...anyone with Bart?

Woke up today and the bones under my last two toes hurts, 4th and 5th metatarsals. It feels like a sprain or bruise but I know it isn't. I'm limping around a little but I'm not panicked and worried...I know it'll go away. Just weird that it came on so suddenly. (On Day 3 of Biaxin.)

I know it could just be bone/joint pain from Lyme. Wondering if Bart can also cause achy foot pain and not just burning foot pain?

Anyone have this kind of pain?

Yes. I believe that is bart foot pain.

My foot pain has never been burning pain. (I DO have burning pain in other areas..but not my feet)

My foot pain is always in the morning when I get out of bed. Just the bottoms...and only hurt when I step on them.
For me, never really bad...not excruciating...but there.

A few times I've had an additional - symptom - more pain under my big toes...in addition to the bottom of the foot pain.

Mine is almost gone...yay!

Interesting....I thought Bart was mostly burning foot pain. I have to look up Bart symptoms again; I know I had a list somewhere lol I think these Bart bugs are pissed and are not going to play nice; this is the first abx that I've been on that hits Bart.

Lyme and Bart can both cause foot pain. Bart is more known for the severe burning and sharp pains though - it doesn't mean Lyme can't cause nearly as much pain though. And, when Lyme and Bart combine, most people experience more nerve pain and more severe nerve pain (as well as other Neuro issues).

I'm sure you know what I'm going to say next? smilewinkgrin

I get this as well occasionally where my toes connect to the ball of foot. a lot of times for me its the pain in the ball of foot, as if there are stones under my skin that hurt when I take steps. I will usually experience this for a day or two, then it will go away, or sometimes just in the morning.

From what I'm learning, most of that is Bart, and much to do with nerves, especially in the toes and fingers. It's like the nerve endings are frayed, and mis-transmitting signals, resulting in the perception of pain. Also, I believe the blood-vessel impact of bart causes a lot of these types of pain. Just really starting to learn the nerve-component, so I'm not that well versed on it.

Usually it's just the bottom of my feet that hurt in the morning, but sometimes I get a pain across my big toe or a verticle pain in the ankle area during the day when I'm walking.

I also get numbness in my fingers and toes.

With Bart I've had just about every kind of foot pain you can have. I've had days of feeling like a sliver of glass is stuck in my foot, bruised feeling like someone beat my feet with a board, bone pain that I actually questioned if I'd broken a bone in my foot, burning, aching, and general soreness. My feet also get VERY hot, so I have a hard time wearing closed shoes or else I'm miserable. I have to be very careful of what shoes I wear and for how long I wear them. Even comfy tennies can cause pain after a few hours. My most successful footwear is an old pair of orthopedic type flip flops by Spenco. For some odd reason, they must hit my feet just right and help my feet recover from any pain that I have. I can spend the whole day in these flip flops and there are no repercussions. They are getting really old now and I went on the internet the other day and saw that they are over $40 to replace now! I know there's no way I spent that much on them originally but I guess I'll have to bite the bullet and spend the money for my general well being, but ouch, that's a lot of money for flip flops!

Crazy stuff. Hope your feet get to feeling better.
