My body reacts the same way to anything new I introduce. I have to start out with very small doses. I understand completely how frustrating it can be. It's hard to remember when you're in the middle of a healing crisis to remember that treating Lyme is a marathon, not a sprint. I have been right where you are and it's not fun. Missing out on family things makes it even harder. But I know you can do it.
I'm not sure if you follow the group called Tired of Lyme. They have some good easy articles which have been helpful to me.

http://www.tiredoflyme.com/detox-methods.html - I find this one works the best for me. Alka-Seltzer Gold combined with the antioxidant glutathione. I make my own glutathione because it is very pricey. Here is the link on how to make it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NMHN3IQjtTY
Here is another one that I find helpful:

When I get really bad Lyme Headaches two Benedryl really kicks it out. I'm not sure why it works but it does.
This was a meme that I found and I have it taped to my mirror: "On particularly rough days when I'm sure I can't possibly endure, I like to remind myself that my track record for getting through bad days so far us 100% and that's pretty good."
Sending lots of hugs
