I am treating babesia with malarone, zith and artemisia. I know Zith can cause ear pain but I have been taking it for 2.5 months. I started a 5 day on 5 day off pulse of Artemisia Annua (whole herb).
By day 4 my ears were hurting. It has been three days off and my ears are still painful. I guess it could be a babesia herx. They hurt and are full of pressure.
Has anyone quit taking Artemisia because it hurts their ears.

Rikky1, I am taking Allergy Research Group Artemisia Annua 500mg. I only started out one capsule a day but am supposed to add another capsule this next round working up to three a day. Kind of scared of it but it could be a herx. Babesia does affect my ears like they are plugged.

500 mgs may have been too high a dose to start with, as Rikky said. Maybe you can
open the capsule and only take out half of it so you can lower your dose? And of course, detox, detox, detox.

Thanks Traveler. Instead of adding another capsule, I'll take 1/2 a capsule. It can't hurt to try. I know it is not a time to increase. It definitely increased all symptoms much more than the malarone.

Andrographis helped my ear pain. I know you may not want to add the cocktail, however.

good idea loutucky the approach should be to kill just enough that you can function and aren't writhing in pain all day.

Purple Tulip, I may try that in the future but not now. Thanks!
